DONATION FOR SUMMER CAMP OF THE KATHOLISCHEN JUNGEN GEMEINDE (COMMUNITY OF YOUNG CATHOLICS) WINDHAGEN.

Summer, sun, swimming, fun and games – for many pupils the summer holidays are a very special time, which is closely connected with family holidays or also various holiday camps. One of these is the summer camp of the KjG Windhagen, which is well known beyond the town borders and is taking place for the fortieth time this year.

Every year, around 50 children and young people between the ages of 8 and 15 travel to very different places for a holiday camp for two weeks. In addition to the villages around the Alps, the youth group’s destinations include towns on the North Sea and Baltic Sea as well as the Mecklenburg Lake District. In addition to interesting excursions, many group games and also traditional activities such as night hikes or campfires are on the agenda. The main focus is always on community and cooperation: for example, the children and young people also have to organise the duties associated with everyday life, such as tidying up, washing up, cleaning and setting the table, independently and handle them together as a team.

The Wirtgen Stiftungen support the voluntary commitment of the group leaders, who work on behalf of the children and young people in the region and thus enable them to have an unforgettable time.
