Train the Trainer - Sustainable Commitment to Youth Football within municipality of Asbach.

For more than three years now, the Wirtgen Stiftungen have been actively supporting the training of youth trainer at all football clubs within the municipality of Asbach. The focus of the support is not only to teach those responsible and trainers modern football-specific training content, but also to teach them how to deal with children and young people in a holistic manner.

Over the past three years, more than 25 training sessions and various events have been held at the sport fields in the municipality of Asbach. This year, a special highlight was a two-day weekend camp for the coaches in the BayArena, the stadium of German champions Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

For two days, age-appropriate and position-specific training sessions were carried out with and by top-class former footballers. Theory and fun were not neglected on these days either. A total of 24 coaches accepted the invitation from the Wirtgen Stiftungen. In addition to the three training sessions, the units were underpinned and consolidated with theoretical parts and lectures. The participants included personalities such as Holger Fach, Fatmir Vata, Johannes van den Bergh and Arie van Lent.

The feedback from all participants was consistently positive. The Wirtgen Stiftungen wish all clubs every success in the implementation of their youth work and, above all, lots of fun.
