School start-up aid - equipping new first-graders with school bag sets

The Wirtgen Stiftungen, together with the Asbach local authority and the Tafel (food bank) Asbach, have launched the "School start-up aid" project. With this support project, the foundations want to help schoolchildren start school with high-quality school bags in an unbureaucratic and low-threshold manner.

In August, the primary schools welcome the new first - graders. For this project, the project partners are cooperating with the school bag manufacturer Ergobag and want to make the new first graders happy with their first school bag.

The foundations' support is aimed at families and children from the municipality of Asbach who are beneficiaries or low income earners and for whom the purchase of a new school bag is a major financial challenge.

Now the time had come and the anticipation of school could be increased once again with the distribution of the school bags. All applications were considered and 18 children were given their first school bag set consisting of a school bag, gym bag, pencil case, writing equipment and accessories.

The Asbach local authority, the Tafel Asbach and the Wirtgen Stiftungen wish all pupils a happy and carefree start to their new school adventure and always a lot of fun and success with their learning.
