In Scandinavia, alongside hydropower, wind power is also an established and advanced renewable source of energy.
Since October 2017, we have been involved with the Laxå wind project in Laxå, in south-eastern Sweden. By the first quarter of 2019, the site will be home to a wind farm consisting of seven turbines with a hub height of 135 metres and a total height of 200 metres. Annual energy production for the facility is planned at 82,500 MWh. This translates into a 62,000-tonne cut in the CO2 footprint each year.
The energy these turbines will generate is enough to fully supply more than 20,000 four-person households.
Our investment in this wind farm is the prelude to our involvement in this form of renewable energy and a targeted addition to our existing holdings in solar parks.
