News: Solar Plant Glenrowan

GLENROWAN – THE LARGEST PHOTOVOLTAIC PLANT FROM WIRTGEN INVEST SUCCESSFULLY CONNECTED IN AUSTRALIA.

With the solar plant Glenrowan, the by far largest of WIRTGEN INVEST's renewable energy projects was successfully completely connected to the power grid in April 2021.

Based in the south-east of the continent, about 250 km outside of Melbourne (Victoria), the solar plant has a nominal output of 149 MWp produced by approximately 373,000 Jinko PV modules.

WIRTGEN INVEST now provides almost 270 million kWh of green energy annually in the Australien south, which is enough to supply almost 70,000 four-person households and save some 117,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.

The connection of the Glenrowan solar plant was completed on time – despite the significant constraints and lockdowns we faced through the worldwide pandemic of COVID-19. The project represents a milestone in the success story for the energy sector of WIRTGEN INVEST.
